sulphuric acid
XLW

Sulfuric acid (Chemical formula :H2SO4), the most important oxygenated acid of sulfur. Anhydrous sulfuric acid is colorless oil liquid, 10.36ºC crystallization, usually used is its various concentrations of aqueous solution, by the tower method and contact method. The former is crude dilute sulfuric acid, the mass fraction is generally about 75%; The latter results in pure concentrated sulfuric acid with a mass fraction of 98.3%, boiling point of 338ºC and relative density of 1.84.

Sulfuric acid is a strong inorganic acid that can react with the vast majority of metals. Concentrated sulfuric acid has a strong ability to absorb water and can be used as a dehydrating agent to carbonize carbohydrate-containing materials like wood, paper, cotton and linen fabrics, as well as biological tissues such as skin and meat. When mixed with water, it also releases a large amount of heat energy. It has strong corrosiveness and oxidizing properties, so it should be used with caution. It is an important industrial raw material utilized in the production of fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, explosives, pigments, detergents, batteries, and more. It is also extensively employed in industries like petroleum refining, metal smelting, and dye manufacturing. Frequently used as a chemical reagent, it serves as a dehydrating agent and sulfonating agent in organic synthesis.
Our sulfuric acid meets Chinese national standards, as well as European and American standards.

Sulfuric acid, sometimes spelled sulphuric acid and also called vitriol, is a mineral acid made up of sulfur, oxygen, and hydrogen atoms, with the chemical formula H2SO4. It is a colorless, odorless, thick liquid that dissolves in water and is produced through reactions that release a significant amount of heat.
Its corrosive effects are primarily due to its strong acidity, and at high concentrations, its dehydrating and oxidizing characteristics also contribute. Additionally, it is hygroscopic, meaning it easily absorbs moisture from the air. When it comes into contact with skin, sulfuric acid can cause serious chemical burns as well as secondary thermal burns, making it highly hazardous even in diluted forms.

Sulfuric Acid concentrations are used for different purposes.
Some common concentrations are:
| Mass fraction H2SO4 | Density (kg/L) | Concentration (mol/L) | Common name |
| <29% | 1.00-1.25 | <4.2 | diluted sulfuric acid |
| 29-32% | 1.25-1.28 | 4.2-5.0 | battery acid (used in lead-acid batteries) |
| 62-70% | 1.52-1.60 | 9.6-11.5 | chamber acid fertilizer acid |
| 78-80% | 1.70-1.73 | 13.5-14.0 | tower acid Glover acid |
| 98.3% | 1.84 | 18.4 | concentrated sulfuric acid |
